I met with Jose the excavator about our timeline and how it will be pushed back a few days due to me not applying for the plumbing permit. We agree to push back the slab pour for the basement and garage to Friday. This gives us two days to have all the rebar, form work, gravel, insulation, vapor barrier in place and call for inspections before Friday. Let's hope we can do it.
One day I"ll have a garage to store useless junk.
In the meantime Jose began excavating the footings for the detached garage and clearing the topsoil for the slab. Later in the afternoon I received an email with the plumbing permit approved! I call the inspection hotline for a Tuesday inspection for the rough plumbing work. We are on schedule for the pour on Friday!
